Disconnect Schalke Contract Boateng and Sidney Sam
Gelsenkirchen – A series of poor results which lived Schalke 04 takes a “victim”, as the stronghold of the Royal Blues terminate two players, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sidney Sam.
This decision was taken after the 0-2 defeat of Cologne last Sunday which makes Schalke have only won two of his last 12 matches in the Bundesliga. They were knocked out of the competition last four and are now struggling to maintain sixth position from the pursuit of Borussia Dortmund, who are both eyeing Europa League spot.
Some players considered not perform well and so the reason why Schalke undergoing its worst period of the season. Consequently after “investigation” thorough, it was decided Boateng and Sam freed his contract before the season ended.
Boateng performed poorly during two seasons in uniform Schalke and often have problems with indiscipline. In total he only appeared 54 times and make seven goals in all competitions.
Not only Boateng, Sidney Sam was also released after signing last summer on a free transfer. Ex Bayer Leverkusen player was only appeared 11 times in the league this season with the last time playing in mid-April.
“Schalke sporting director Horst Heldt, announced that in the aftermath of the defeat away to FC Cologne, the club immediately took action. Kevin Prince Boateng and Sidney Same terminated,” the official statement Schalke.
One other player, Marco Hoger, fared better as a player 25 years was just suspended from all activities of the club until the end of this week.
