Already took Sanchez Again, Wenger?
London – Two last game, Alexis Sanchez Arsenal absent. Without Sanchez last weekend was Arsenal lost. Is Arsene Wenger already requires energy again?
Sanchez was forced sidelined because of a hamstring injury. He did not play as Arsenal beat Aston Villa 5-0 and when the Gunners defeated Tottenham 1-2 last weekend.
Arsenal do not really need to worry. When Sanchez was on the level of mediocrity, Arsenal had Santi Cazorla who later also performed well. Beyond that, Mesut Ozil who has just returned from injury has scored two goals in the last two games.
However, note that etched Sanchez this season made him unable to be removed just like that. Of the 21 times playing in the Premier League this season, in which 20 of them as a starter, Sanchez scored 12 goals and contributed seven assists.
Wenger reveals, Chilean forward it insists on playing against Tottenham. However, because do not want to take the risk, Wenger decided to rest him.
Now, after losing to Tottenham, Wenger wants a positive response. He asked his team to bounce straight when facing Leicester City on Wednesday (11/2), at the Emirates Stadium.
Sanchez may not be played as a starter. However, it is likely he will be included in the list of substitutes. The only thing that can not be played Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is injured groin.
“Chamberlain will not be played. The only thing that has a chance to start the game from the bench or be a starter is Sanchez,” Wenger said on Sky Sports.
Arsenal had a pretty good record when playing at home. Of the 11 times played at the Emirates this season, Arsenal’s seven wins, three draws and just one defeat.
Wenger hopes, his team did not repeat such mistakes when facing Tottenham. Poor final completion in the final third of the pitch could be a factor needed Sanchez middle of this week.
“It’s very disappointing because we actually had to fight hard. But, we made a lot of technical mistakes.”
“We lost a lot of balls in a situation where we should be able to suppress Tottenham. It’s funny to see us arrive at the final third of the pitch, and seemed to score, but we did not do much,” said Wenger.
